Installé aux fenêtres de mon atelier à Granby pendant ma résidence au 3ième Impérial, Pavillon est une oeuvre publique éphémère qui est née de l’observation de l’architecture vernaculaire de Granby que j’ai caractérisée par la présence populaire de la véranda. L’ancien édifice historique de l’Impérial Tobacco devient ainsi l’hôte d’une architecture ornementale qui, du haut du troisième étage, vient marginaliser ce corridor industriel unique à la ville de Granby.

Installed againt the windows of my studio space during my residency in Granby, Pavilion is a temporary public work inspired by the vernacular architecture of Granby which is characterized by the unique and popular presence of the veranda. The historic building of the Imperial Tobacco becomes the host of this new ornemental balcony which, in suspension on the 3rd floor, marginalizes this unique industrial corridor of the city with the penetration of the domestic world into the workplace.
